There have been so many changes in these past few weeks that it’s hard to remember all of them. One thing that hasn’t changed is the lobular breast cancer numbers continue to go down. Yay! Praise God!
Ben and I met with Dr. M two weeks ago to go over my counts, talk more extensively about the PET scan results and any new issues I may be having. He was smiling as he said that the numbers showed a statistically significant drop. That means there was enough of a difference that it wasn’t just a little warble in the counts. It’s outside of the “maybe” zone of change.
I made a little graph to show how the numbers have changed since last April. The dates are approximately every four weeks.
You may see that I was being tested for ovarian cancer also. This is not because I have ovarian cancer. In me, the breast cancer has spread through my organs and the test results can show that there is a flare up in the ovaries. With the ovarian cancer test dropping it shows that the cancer in my organs is also dropping.
Dr. M didn’t have any additional to say about my PET scan from the phone conversation last month. I did ask him if it was okay to see a chiropractor because my hips are hurting and he had a big “NO” for me. Due to the lesions that are seen in my spine he doesn’t want anything to exert stress on them. He said that I am to be stretching more. I kind of already knew that.
My creatinine levels still showed dehydration. I’ve been drinking a lot more water since last month and haven’t had any migraines since then. I know those numbers will improve in time, but for now no migraines is enough.
The red blood count went down a little from last time. I was a bit disappointed in this because with the cancer being pushed back I thought my marrow would be able to work better. I was reminded that a side effect of my medication inhibits the marrow’s ability to work properly. Dr. M said not to worry about it. He would like it higher, but it’s okay.
So, all in all it was a great doctor’s visit.
What Else is New?
Like I said, there are so many changes happening in the Perry household that it’s hard to remember them all.
Little Bit is now homeschooling again. Since she has a lot of free time she wants to do horse riding, but that is rather expensive. Seeing as how she is a very industrious kid, she figured out a way to possibly make it work. Down our road is a non-profit riding stable for children with special needs. She has offered to work cleaning the barns in exchange for riding time. The neighbor I talked to seemed eager for her help, but the board members need to okay it. We are waiting to hear what the final answer will be.
Brother is starting to volunteer in the Sunday School at our church. Littles love him. Mostly because he is so tall and fun and lets them wrestle with him. Obviously, he won’t be able to do that at church, but I think they will latch right on to him anyways.
Sister has a coloring book set to go live Feb. 29th on the Barnes and Noble website. It’s called, “The Little Adventurer’s Coloring Book.” It is a 4 x 6 inch book perfect for packing for coloring on the go. She has various characters and items to color with a question at the bottom to get children to come up with stories to go along with the pictures.
Here are some samples she shared:

Because I know some will want to know, there are a few fantasy creatures in the book. There are ghosts on vacation taking photos and a baby dragon.
Valentine’s Gift
Ben and I got a black cat when we were first married. We had him for about 11 years. He was the coolest cat ever; smart, playful and a total momma’s boy. I have wanted another black cat ever since having to put him down. This year for Valentine’s Day Ben ordered me a bouquet of flowers that never arrived. So, instead of flowers we went and got this guy.
Meet Finnegan Void.
He is fitting right in and taking over. Hazel cat doesn’t approve of him, but she doesn’t approve of any animals. Jasper dog loves playing with him but gets a bit rough due to his size and still being a puppy.
Sneak Peek
I started a new baby quilt pattern. It’s a surprise, but here are the colors. Any guesses as to the theme?
What in the world is that? A pencil? Nope, not even close. Stay tuned for the finished quilt! Well, don’t stay tuned. It’ll probably be another month before it’s done. Just check in on occasion.
News Outside of the Household
My best friend, Davina, has started a new business using her talents as an artist. She does amazing work! She’s just starting so get in while you can! She has some prints for sale but loves to do personal commissions. Landscapes, animals, flowers? Yep, she does them.
Here are some of her works:

Prayer Request
I know many of you are praying for me and for my healing. Thank you so much! I can’t even begin to tell you how much better I feel. There is great comfort in knowing that we have a God that loves us, listens to us, and answers our prayers. He is a God of healing and restoration (amongst many other things.)
Knowing that there are so many of you out there that are willing to pray I am asking you to also pray for my friend, Leah. She has been fighting cancer so much longer than I have. I don’t even know how many years it has been in her body. Her numbers have been going in the wrong direction lately and she needs healing. Would you please lift her up in your prayers? She is in need of a miracle only God can do. Thank you.
That is all for now. Thank you again for all your prayers and taking time to catch up on this journey that I am on.
God Bless!
